Google: Take Action – pledge support for free & open internet

The internet was so free and open that made some governments want to use a closed-door meeting in December to increase censorship and regulate the Internet.

We give them privilege yet they want to conquer us

How one that was gave the power and the privileges to represent us, the country and the people, to protect and to help us prosper can think arrogantly that they will someday can take over and control us?

ITU secret meeting on 3rd December, 2012

That what will happen in the next month where an ITU (International Telecommunication Union) meeting will be held in Dubai. Few of governments will ask so that the internet will be more in controlled and filtered. Wasn’t that the first thing we want to do when internet is discovered? To have no barriers?

Thus Google is now promoting the new initiative called Take Action to let people pledge for the free and open internet.

Google Take Action – Pledge your support for free and open Internet

From the official sub-pages of the Google Take Action, they share about what one can do and what is the consequences of the ITU.

“A free and open world depends on a free and open Internet. Governments alone, working behind closed doors, should not direct its future. The billions of people around the globe who use the Internet should have a voice.”

And therefore if you are one of the people who didn’t have the voice in the secret meeting (what makes people hate it) of ITU, you are most welcome to give your pledge.
